Singer and Presidential Adviser on Ghetto Affairs, Buchaman, has opened up about his disappointment in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), saying he now regrets ever joining the party.

Buchaman revealed that despite dedicating his time and energy to mobilizing the ghetto community and pushing for development projects, his efforts have been ignored and frustrated by a few selfish individuals within the system.
“I feel hurt because that’s how NRM operates. You come up with an idea to help the people, and before it takes off, others hijack it for their personal gain. Those who want to eat the money push you out,” he said.
The musician explained that a small inner circle — not more than five people — controls most of the decisions, making it nearly impossible for genuine projects to succeed.
He added that these individuals not only block progress but also misrepresent him to President Museveni.
“I regret putting in all that energy to organize the ghetto and change people’s mindsets, only to end up unappreciated,” he stated.
Buchaman, once seen as the President’s trusted link to the ghetto, now says he feels neglected and betrayed, pointing to internal sabotage and greed as the main reasons his dream of empowering the ghetto youth failed to materialize.
