Over four unforgettable days, festivalgoers will experience five dynamic stages and 300 acts, spanning electronic, hip hop, dancehall, amapiano, afrobeats, live bands, and traditional sounds from across Africa and beyond. The first phase lineup has already been announced, with global icons including DJ Skrillex (USA), Flowdan (UK), Tash LC (UK), DJ Travella (Tanzania), Boutross (Kenya), Bclip (Colombia), Dylan Brady (USA) and many more. A second phase—featuring top Ugandan DJs and acts—will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Adventure Meets Culture at Uganda’s New Festival Paradise

The festival will transform Kalagala Falls and its surrounding sites—including **Adrift Uganda’s Adventure Centre, The River Club, The Overland Camp, and two community-owned tourism sites—**into a seamless cultural and adventure hub. Guests will be able to enjoy rafting, kayaking, bungee jumping, and other adrenaline-fueled activities alongside the music.

“This is the most picturesque venue in Nyege Nyege history. Kalagala Falls truly embodies Uganda’s natural beauty and adventure spirit, and we are proud to welcome the world here for this milestone edition,” said Leanne Haigh, CEO of Tourvest East Africa (Adrift Uganda).

Tourism & Cultural Exchange

The 10th anniversary festival is staged in partnership with Explore Uganda, courtesy of the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities. Nyege Nyege is Uganda’s largest international tourism event, attracting thousands of visitors who also explore the country’s national parks, lakes, and cultural sites.

“Nyege Nyege has become a beacon of Uganda’s creative and cultural identity, attracting travelers from all over the world. As we celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are proud to partner with the festival in showcasing Uganda as Africa’s premier adventure and cultural destination,” said Juliana Kaggwa, CEO of UTB.

Beyond Music: Fashion, Film & Dialogue

The 10th anniversary of Nyege Nyege will be more than music. This year, the festival welcomes two of Uganda’s leading cultural events in fashion and film. Partnering with Kwetu Kwanza, Nyege Nyege will showcase iconic regional and continental fashion brands with a strong emphasis on sustainable fashion. Meanwhile, Matatu Stage will curate a dedicated film program spotlighting some of the most exciting short films from Uganda and across Africa.

In addition, the festival will host a daytime conference and workshop hub, creating space for dialogue, skills sharing, and creative exchange. Central to this vision is the launch of the inaugural African Electronic Music Conference, convening more than 15 cultural organizations from across the continent to network, collaborate, and explore the future of electronic music in Africa.

This expanded programming reflects Uganda’s new cultural policy, which highlights the role of creative industries as engines of development, while also aligning with the national tourism policy, positioning Uganda as a destination where natural beauty and cultural innovation converge. By bringing together music, fashion, film, and dialogue, Nyege Nyege continues to underscore Uganda’s growing reputation as a global hub for creativity, sustainability, and tourism.

Another exciting development is the addition of international streaming platforms Kiosk Radio (Belgium) and The Lot Radio (New York), which will bring Nyege Nyege to global audiences online, with the kind support of the Belgian Embassy.

Uganda Waragi at 60 x Nyege Nyege at 10

This year, Uganda Breweries Limited’s iconic Uganda Waragi brand joins as a lead partner in a historic double celebration: Uganda Waragi at 60 meets Nyege Nyege at 10. Uganda Waragi will host a dedicated stage experience featuring special performances, cocktails, and immersive brand activations.

“Uganda Waragi has been part of Uganda’s story for six decades, and it is only fitting that we celebrate our milestone alongside Uganda’s biggest cultural festival. Together, we will create unforgettable experiences that highlight both heritage and innovation,” said Hillary Baguma, Brand Manager, Mainstream Spirits at UBL.

Nyege Nyege 2025 is backed by an exceptional media lineup:

• Trace TV – Reaching international audiences across Africa and beyond. As the event’s global media partner, Trace+ will broadcast exclusive live performances, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and curated content via its website, app, and social media platforms. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to celebrate Afro creativity in all its forms,” said Olivier Laouchez, Executive Chairman of Trace TV.

• NBS TV – Uganda’s biggest TV station, bringing the festival to millions locally.

• NRG Radio – The youth-driven powerhouse amplifying Nyege Nyege’s urban edge.
