Ugandan Cinematographer Allan Soja Represents Country at Septimius Awards in Amsterdam

Last weekend, celebrated Ugandan cinematographer and filmmaker Allan Soja proudly flew Uganda’s flag high at the prestigious Septimius Awards in Amsterdam.

Soja, together with his team, is currently working on an upcoming African documentary titled Awakening Africa.

The project, which explores authentic African narratives, was recognized during the ceremony for its outstanding contribution to African storytelling.

The Septimius Awards, known for celebrating independent and international cinema, provided a platform for Ugandan creatives to shine on the global stage.

Soja’s recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a significant step for Uganda’s growing film industry.
