Afrigo Band has issued a strong directive against unauthorized filming, recording, broadcasting, or live streaming of their performances.
According to the band’s Executive Office, no person or entity is allowed to capture or share any portion of a live show without prior written permission.
The statement emphasizes that approvals must be requested in advance and granted in writing, with verbal authorizations considered invalid.
Event organisers and managers have been reminded that they are fully responsible for ensuring compliance. This includes making sure staff, contractors, security, and attendees are aware of the restrictions. Failure to prevent unauthorized recording or streaming, the directive warns, will make the organiser liable.
Those seeking permission to film or broadcast are required to submit written requests to the Executive Director via james.wasula@gmail.com or call +256 772 501487. Requests must clearly outline the event date, venue, nature of the proposed recording or distribution, and the intended audience or platform.
The band further directed organisers to communicate this reminder to all vendors, crew, contractors, and attendees involved in their events.
