Equity Bank Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to community development and faith-based partnerships by donating UGX 50 million to Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Ministries.

The financial support will go toward the highly anticipated three-day crusade featuring world-renowned evangelist Benny Hinn.
The cheque was officially handed over this afternoon by Ms. Catherine Psomgen, Equity Bank Uganda’s Director of Public Sector & Social Investments, during a ceremony that underscored the ongoing collaboration between the bank and Pastor Kayanja’s ministry.
“This partnership is a reflection of our dedication to transforming lives and restoring dignity in vulnerable communities,” Ms. Psomgen stated. “It also ties in with our Africa Recovery and Resilience Plan, which prioritizes increased investment in agriculture and social transformation.”
Beyond the crusade, Equity Bank and Miracle Centre Ministries have been working together on impactful development programs, notably a transformational agriculture initiative in Karamoja launched in 2023.
The initiative is part of the bank’s broader strategy to channel 30% of its total lending toward agriculture, a sector considered vital for economic recovery and sustainability.
Pastor Kayanja lauded the bank’s generosity, noting that the support would not only help bring spiritual revival through the crusade but also contribute to ongoing efforts to uplift communities through faith-driven development.
