Musician and political aspirant Nina Roz has officially picked nomination forms from the National Unity Platform (NUP) offices in Makerere Kavule, signaling her intent to contest for the Ssembabule Woman MP seat in the 2026 general elections.
Nina Roz, who has been vocal about her political ambitions since late last year, took a significant step toward securing the NUP ticket by collecting the nomination forms today.
Her move sets the stage for participation in the party’s primaries, where she hopes to emerge as NUP’s flagbearer for the constituency.
The incumbent Sembabule Woman MP, Mary Begumisa, represents the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in a region widely regarded as an NRM stronghold. Political observers are keenly watching to see how NUP, with Nina Roz as a potential candidate, will challenge the ruling party’s dominance in the area.
