Nation Media Group (NMG) has named seasoned media personality Flavia Tumusiime as its new Head of Broadcast.

In this newly created role, she will oversee the company’s television and radio platforms, including prominent stations such as Dembe FM, Spark TV, KFM, and NTV Uganda.

The position comes as a result of a strategic restructuring within NMG, which saw the dissolution of the General Manager TV role—formerly held by Johnson Omollo.

In its place, the Head of Broadcast role was established to consolidate leadership across both radio and television operations.

Flavia Tumusiime Responds to Social Media Rumors: “I Will Never Give Attention”

Flavia brings over two decades of experience in the media industry, having started her career at just 14 years old as the host of Teen’s Club on WBS TV. At 18, she transitioned to radio, beginning with Hot100FM before moving to Capital Radio in 2006.

Her dynamic career also saw her join Channel O, where she worked for about four years, further expanding her regional presence.

In 2015, Flavia joined NTV Uganda, part of the NMG family, where she served as a news anchor and morning show host until her departure in May 2021. More recently, she returned to Capital FM, where she has been hosting Desert Island Discs, following a successful run on a mid-morning show.

Announcing the news via Instagram, Flavia shared her gratitude and excitement about the new chapter in her career.

“God has chosen a new path this year, and I’m glad to answer the call. Television and radio gave me a career worth being proud of, and I’m glad to find my way back in this way to grow not just the industry but also the talent to continue the journey,” she wrote.

“I pray that I have your support on this new chapter as you’ve supported me at every endeavor and pivot over the years.”
