A Pass Criticizes Artists Performing Abroad for Clothes Instead of Financial Gain

A Pass has expressed concern over the way some artists seek exposure abroad, claiming they often perform without proper financial reward.

According to A Pass, many Ugandan artists go on international tours but end up singing just to get clothes instead of earning substantial money.

In his remarks, A Pass emphasized the importance of self-worth and financial independence in the music industry. “If you don’t have the money I want, don’t call me. I’ll make that money here at home,” he declared, signaling his refusal to compromise his value for the sake of exposure alone.

A Pass believes that this trend reflects a broader issue within the Ugandan music scene, where artists sometimes fail to recognize their worth.

“It’s a big problem for our artists,” he said. “They don’t look at themselves with respect, and that way, people won’t put down your brand. So first know yourself.”

The singer urged fellow musicians to focus on building their brand and prioritizing financial growth.

By valuing themselves and demanding fair compensation, A Pass believes that Ugandan artists can command more respect and secure better opportunities both locally and internationally.
