Night Ampurire, a hardworking fruit vendor from Entebbe who gained fame for her resilience in raising her five children, is grappling with a heartbreaking ordeal after her cherished pickup truck reportedly disappeared.
The truck, a generous gift from MTN Uganda in recognition of Ampulire’s dedication and hard work, recently broke down, prompting her to seek the services of a Kampala-based mechanic.
According to a report by NTV Uganda, the mechanic charged her Shs.800,000 for repairs.
Despite her financial struggles, Ampulire managed to raise Shs700,000 from her savings and paid the mechanic.
However, the mechanic claimed he needed to test the truck, but instead, it was taken to an undisclosed location.
Nearly two weeks have passed, and Ampulire has not received any updates on the whereabouts of her vehicle, which was a vital asset for her livelihood.
