The new year is here and everyone has so many expectations of the new year 2025. With everyone sending new year wishes to their loved ones, Azawi decided to share a new year message with her fans via her X account.

For her message, Azawi quoted her new year song dubbed “My year”. She captured and posted a snippet of her song. The screenshot highlights declarations for the new year, something netizens have chose to interpret in their own ways.
“Somebody gonna marry this year. Make the money up in this year. Let me tell you something about this year. This year must be better than last year.” Azawi posted
For some, this is just an ordinary good wish for the new year and they have therefore received the good wishes with thanks. The comment section has been flocked by netizens claiming the good wishes for the new year and others proclaiming the message that the new year is indeed going to be their year.
For some however, there is little hope for the new year considering that even when Azawi had just released the song in question, it did little to avert the various misfortunes that crept upon them throughout the year. A few netizens have even gone on to remind Azawi that the year she released this song turned out to be a very ugly one for the Country at large.
“Thanks but the other year you released that song, we asked for water. The year became a year.” A one Wasabi UG commented.
A few netizens however have further got deeper connotations from this seemingly simple message with some of them suggesting that Azawi could be hinting at a possible wedding ceremony considering that she chose this particular snippet for her message. Some have even asked Azawi when she expects to tie the knot.
“Yesssss but when are you getting married?” Came another comment from Ryan.
“Of course sweet heart, I will marry you this year.” Oliva Steven commented
Some netizens even went in to state that Azawi will make one of the most beautiful brides.
“You will make a beautiful bride.” Ssempeke Mohammed responded.
Azawi is yet to clarify with her fans whether their assumptions be true or simply exaggerated.
