Top Ugandan female choreographer Ritah Dancehall has shared the fascinating story of how she started working with celebrated singer Sheebah Karungi.
It all began on a seemingly ordinary day during one of Ritah’s bar performances.
Her energetic and captivating dance moves caught the attention of Sheebah Karungi, who was in the audience.
Impressed by Ritah’s talent, Sheebah generously tipped her during the performance, leaving Ritah overwhelmed by the gesture.
After the show, Sheebah sent her team to arrange a meeting with Ritah.
During their conversation, Sheebah expressed a strong desire to have Ritah join her team.
Ritah was both surprised and excited by the offer.
At the time, Ritah was already working with dancehall artist Ziza Bafana.
However, Sheebah showed flexibility and determination to secure Ritah’s services despite her commitments.
Despite their initial agreement, Ritah had to wait several weeks before Sheebah reached out for their first collaboration.
During that period, Ritah began to question whether the promise would materialize.
But true to her word, Sheebah eventually contacted her, bringing Ritah’s dream of working with the star to life.
The partnership between Ritah Dancehall and Sheebah Karungi has since become one of the most talked-about collaborations in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
Their combined talent continues to inspire many in the world of music and dance.
