Karole Kasita took a trip down memory lane, sharing an embarrassing yet humorous experience from 2021 when she attempted to get the attention of Jamaican dancehall superstar Dexta Daps.
Through her social media, Karole posted screenshots of the messages she sent to Dexta Daps three years ago in hopes of securing a music collaboration. In the screenshots, her messages read, “Hi, how r u dear,” and “Hey,” but they unfortunately went unanswered.
“Throwback Thursday to when I texted @dextadaps in 2021 and got no reply paka leero,” she captioned the post, acknowledging the failed attempt with laughter. “Meanwhile, I wanted to ask for a collabo,” she added.
Despite the past disappointment, Karole expressed her excitement at the chance to finally meet and share a stage with the dancehall legend. “Can’t believe I’ll be sharing a stage with him,” she wrote.
Dexta Daps is set to perform this Saturday at the Noise Nation event at Lugogo Cricket Oval, an occasion that promises to bring together his Ugandan fans and fellow artists, including Karole Kasita, for an unforgettable night.
