Bebe Cool says despite Rema Namakula’s fame, she hasn’t reached the level of success he had envisioned for her.
Bebe Cool, the man responsible for introducing Rema to the music scene, expressed disappointment, stating that if the singer had remained under his mentorship at Gagamel, she would have achieved much more.
He shared how he invested heavily in Rema’s career, helping build her brand and establish her presence in the music industry. However, after a few years with Gagamel, Rema decided to part ways and focus on her relationship with fellow artist Eddy Kenzo, later joining a different management team.

Speaking on the matter, Bebe Cool said, “If that’s where she wanted to be, then maybe she is successful. I don’t gauge her success based on the vision I had for her. To me, she is not successful, but based on her perspective, she might be because success is personal.”
His remarks have sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some agreeing that Rema could have grown more under Gagamel’s management, while others argue that the singer has carved her own path, achieving success on her terms.
Rema has since become one of Uganda’s most celebrated female musicians, with hit songs and a strong fanbase.
