Legendary Ugandan singer Ragga Dee has postponed his much-anticipated January concert after fellow artist King Saha scheduled his concert for the same date.
During the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) jam sessions on Tuesday, Ragga Dee revealed that had originally booked the Serena Hotel in Kampala for January 24, 2025, but was surprised when King Saha announced the same date for his event.
In a display of leadership and professionalism, Ragga Dee decided to reschedule his concert for January 25, 2025.
He stated that his decision was made to set a positive example as an elder in the music industry. He also urged fellow artists to foster unity by forgiving each other and working harmoniously, as this would help earn the respect of music fans.
Ragga Dee expressed his dissatisfaction with the growing trend of artists scheduling concerts on the same dates, which has caused significant issues in the industry.
This year alone, Uganda has witnessed over five major events that clashed, negatively impacting attendance numbers for some artists and affecting their careers.
The iconic singer hopes his decision will encourage other artists to be more considerate when planning their events, helping the industry thrive without unnecessary competition.
