Buchaman, the Presidential Adviser on Ghetto Affairs, has publicly opened up about his request for a salary increment from President Yoweri Museveni.
During a recent meeting, Buchaman explained to the President why he felt a raise was necessary, citing both personal and communal pressures.
He shared that his current salary of Shs1.7 million is insufficient to support his lifestyle and responsibilities to those in the ghetto.

According to Buchaman, the President advised him to make a formal request through a letter, directing it to the authorized individuals for review.
Buchaman has since followed the President’s advice, submitting the request in the hopes of receiving an increment to Shs6-7 million.
“I asked for the increment because I still rent where I live, and there are many people from the ghetto who depend on me for support,” he said.
