The most anticipated dining showcase, the Kampala Restaurant Week is returning after a 4-year hiatus, starting on the 4th to the 14th of July 2024.
Following the unprecedented break due to the pandemic, the Kampala Restaurant Week, a Pearl Guide initiative is making a comeback on the social calendar, onboarding an array of Kampala’s newest and popular eateries to offer the public attractive dining experiences ranging from casual to fancy dining at any participating restaurant.
To make the week-long experience worthwhile, partner restaurants have curated special creative menus with a range of meals to savour at discounted prices starting as low as UGX 30k each with a complimentary Tusker Cider for a boost of flavour or a bottle of Aquafina to cleanse the palate.
Speaking to the upcoming experience, Philip Kilibwani, the Pearl Guide Business Development Manager said, “the return of Kampala Restaurant Week is to further highlight and showcase some of Kampala’s restaurants while appreciating the different types of cuisines around the world at large.”
“We also hope to use the return of this dining experience to give a new twist to Kampala’s social scene by uniting one another over casual and signature dining experience at over 30 partner outlets”, he added.
The Kampala Restaurant Week will kickstart with a sumptuous menu tasting lunch at one of the partner restaurants, Stone Haven Restaurant and Winery that will bring together different restaurant owners, partners, the media and selected creators to taste and acquaint with the curated menus during the week.
Participating casual dining restaurants include, Bush Pig, Golden Hill, Karveli, Molecule, Nawab’s Asian Bistro, Olives, Riders Acacia, Ruby, Savannah, Tamarai, Tapas, Alchemist, Aleph, The Local, The Maze, Patio Bella and the Terrace, while the signature dining restaurants include, Aldea, Asian Fusion, Hanabi, Izumi, Khana Khazana, La Cabana, La Patisserie, La Terrasse (Sheraton), Stone Haven, the Hickory, Lawns, Yamasen and Yujo Izakaya.
