Ugandan songstress Winnie Nwagi has decided to pursue legal action against a certain individual, Bizzy Nateete, who has been asserting false paternity claims over her daughter, Destiny Mirembe. This decision comes after enduring significant distress caused by the ongoing situation.
In an official statement issued by Winnie Nwagi’s music label, Swangz Avenue, it was emphasized that legal measures would be pursued against Nateete for defamation and the substantial harm inflicted upon Nwagi’s reputation.
The statement further elaborated on how the fabricated claims made by Bizzy Nateete have escalated to the point of causing distress and bullying towards Winnie Nwagi’s daughter at school. Such actions were strongly condemned as utterly unacceptable by both Swangz Avenue and Winnie Nwagi.
Nwagi’s camp made it clear that they refuse to remain passive while opportunists attempt to exploit a child for personal gain, particularly at the expense of her well-being and reputation.
The situation gained public attention following the circulation of a video on social media featuring Bizzy Nateete, who falsely claims to be Destiny Mirembe’s father.
