In a candid statement, Asiimwe questioned the rationale behind giving a portion of her earnings to the church, labeling it as potentially “stupid.”

“I don’t know whether I will ever reach such a point as a human being of being that stupid to do such a thing that every small money I earn I give it to the church,” Asiimwe remarked during an online interview with.

She further elaborated on her concerns, highlighting a perceived lack of accountability in how the donated funds are utilized within religious institutions.

According to Asiimwe, the absence of transparency leaves control of the money in the hands of the pastor and their spouse, rather than ensuring it is used for the betterment of the community or congregation.

“We don’t have an accountability at the end of the day. It’s the pastor and his wife instead controlling the money,” Asiimwe added.

Asiimwe’s remarks have sparked discussion among the public, raising questions about the traditional practice of tithing and offering within religious communities.
