They have had the microphone and made a living off narrating people’s woes through music. Eddie Yawe, the proprietor of Dream Studios is planning to replace outspoken legislator Muhammad Nsereko whose future in parliament is uncertain following court order to kick him out along with other three “rebel NRM MPs”.

Eddie Yawe is eyeing the Kampala Central seat and is promising to revoluntionarize entertainment by promising to push for the legislation of the copyright law which will guarantee artistes earning enormous wealth off royalties upon sensitisation of the public to enhance implementation of the law. This would be a major breakthrough for artistes whose income and livelihood is threatened by the massively misinterpreted miniskirt bill.

His singing brother Bobi Wine will throw his weight behind him and push for success that eluded them in the previous election.

There is a growing number of artistes and comedians eyeing politics. We shall reveal them in an upcoming episode. Watch this space.
