Ugandan chef Dorcus Basheba Kirabo, famously known as Mama D, is gearing up for a remarkable challenge – an attempt to secure a Guinness World Record for feeding the largest number of people over an extended period.
This ambitious endeavor follows Mama D’s recent loss of the longest nonstop cooking hours world record to Ghana’s Failatu Abdul-Razak, who completed an impressive 227 hours.
Mama D had captured widespread attention at the end of December 2023 when she undertook a highly publicized cookathon in Kampala, cooking continuously for 114 hours.
However, with the emergence of Failatu Abdul-Razak’s record-breaking feat, Mama D decided to redirect her efforts towards a new and impactful world record.
In a recent announcement on Radiocity97FM, Mama D disclosed her plan to attempt the Guinness World Record for feeding the largest number of people over an extended period.
She expressed her determination, stating that she had already registered for the record with Guinness World Records and was eagerly awaiting their approval and guidelines for the upcoming challenge.
I’m coming back! I have registered for a record, it’s going to be my record or rather Uganda’s record. It’s about ‘the largest number of people fed for the longest time.

She concluded saying Ugandan have shown her alot of love and it’s only right she gives back that way.
