Ugandan media personality Nalumansi Zahara aka Zahara Totto has recently unveiled her latest career endeavor, delving into the world of aviation.
This surprising move comes as Totto adds yet another feather to her cap, expanding her already diverse professional portfolio that includes TV presenting, stage emceeing, deejaying, and brand influencing.
In an interview with a local TV station, Zahara Totto shared her motivation behind embracing a new career path.
She expressed her desire to reward herself as a girl child, highlighting the challenges faced by many young girls who drop out of school due to difficulties in paying fees or being denied educational opportunities.
Totto emphasized the importance of education, declaring it as something that no one can take away from her.
“I decided to reward myself as a girl child. Most times the girl child drops out of school when she faces difficulties with paying school fees, whenever she’s denied that chance. Even some of them refuse going to school even when they have the opportunity to have school fees. Education is something that someone won’t take away from me,” Zahara Totto said.
Addressing concerns about balancing her entertainment-centric work, often situated in bars, with her new aviation career, the now turned “Captain Zato” confidently asserted her academic prowess. “I have always been brilliant in class since day one. I am creative always,” she stated, showcasing her determination to excel in diverse fields.
Zahara Totto’s transition into aviation was marked by her successful completion of a course as a cabin crew member. Following this achievement, she was awarded a scholarship at the Uganda Aviation Academy.
The scholarship, a prestigious acknowledgment of her commitment and skills, was presented to Totto by Captain Mike Mukula, the Director of the institution.
In addition to the scholarship, Zahara Totto has also been bestowed with the honor of serving as the Ambassador of the Uganda Aviation Academy. This appointment further solidifies her role within the institution and underlines her commitment to promoting and contributing to the aviation sector.
As Zahara Totto embarks on this new chapter in her professional journey, her story serves as an inspiration for individuals to pursue their passions and diversify their skills, breaking boundaries and stereotypes along the way.
