Coach Haruna Kebba’s Kiira Young have gone top of the FUFA Super League table after a hard fought 1-0 win over Express FC.
Victory for Kiira Young and a loss for earlier table leaders SC Vipers meant that Kebba’s team went top of table. Emmanuel Obitre scored the lone goal for Kiira Young to send them to 34 points.
Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club also moved above SC Vipers in better goal difference after stopping Entebbe 2-1 with Feni Ali and Erias Ssekisambu scoring the goal. Veteran Yusuf Kinene netted for the home side.
Bidco, handled by Uganda Cranes assistant Coach Kefa Kisala, made advantage of their home ground in silencing SC Vipers 2-1. Joseph Mpande netted for the visitors, while Crespo Asiku and Martin Kivumbi made sure the home side picked maximum points.
Fresh from exiting the CAF Confederations Cup, SC Victoria University only managed a goalless draw against Proline FC, while a Peter Ssenyonjo goal was enough to give Soana FC a 1-0 victory over Police FC.
In the other league games played Coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s Bright Stars drew 1-all with SC Villa, while Masala LC and army side Simba also settled for the same game score.
