Ugandan culinary sensation, Chef Mama D, is on the brink of making history as she sails past the 93-hour mark in her remarkable Cookathon. The ambitious chef has already surpassed the previous record of 93 hours and 11 minutes set by Hilda Baci.

As of 8 am on Boxing Day, Mama D had logged an impressive 69 hours in her relentless pursuit of breaking the current Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking session.
To secure her place in the record books, she now faces the daunting challenge of cooking for at least 30 more hours, aiming to surpass the existing record of 119 hours and 57 minutes that was achieved by Alan Fisher (Ireland) in Matsue, Shimane, Japan, from September 28 to October 3, 2023.
Mama D, undeterred by the demanding task ahead, expressed gratitude to her supporters, stating, “It’s the people that keep me going.”

The overwhelming support from fellow Ugandans has fueled her determination, as breaking the record would not only be a personal achievement but also a momentous occasion for Uganda on the global stage.
The anticipation is palpable, with Ugandans rallying behind Mama D in anticipation of the moment she shatters the existing record. Once achieved, headlines are poised to celebrate ‘Ugandan Chef Mama D’ as she etches her name into the annals of Guinness World Records.
The nation eagerly awaits the outcome of this extraordinary culinary feat, as Chef Mama D continues to showcase her resilience and culinary prowess.
