Introducing Erica Kate Brown, a talented musician and singer who was born on October 8, 2005. Currently a senior 3 student at St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School in Nsambya, Erica has always been passionate about music.
From a young age, she taught herself to play the piano and write lyrics, showcasing her soulful voice and heartfelt demos that caught the attention of her father and many others around her. This paved the way for her journey into the music industry.
After closely observing Erica for a few years, her father, Mr. Emmanuel J. Brown, took a leap of faith and introduced her to the recording studio.
Erica’s talent shone through as she recorded beautiful solos, leading her father to plan for her first single release. However, their plans were halted by the global pandemic, COVID-19, which brought everything to a standstill.
Despite the setback caused by the pandemic, Mr. Brown remained convinced that Erica could still make a significant impact in the music world with her extraordinary vocals, catchy melodies, and unique talent.
He encouraged her to return to the studio and continue recording. However, as Erica transitioned to secondary school and prioritized her education, her time in the studio was limited.
Then, on June 15, 2023, Erica Kate Brown’s musical career took a significant turn when her father had a successful meeting with Manager Apple, a renowned figure in the Uganda music industry.
This meeting marked the real start of Erica’s musical journey, opening doors for her to showcase her talent and make a name for herself in the industry.
The current manager of Apple is currently managing two highly talented artists in the Ugandan music industry, both locally and internationally.
The meeting resulted in a remarkable achievement for the aspiring artist Erica Kate Brown, as she successfully secured a collaboration with the renowned hitmaker John Blaq.
This collaboration has brought a bright and fulfilling opportunity for Erica, and their song titled “Call Me” is scheduled to be released on December 15th, 2023.
