What’s the first thing you do with a new car? Go out for a spin, basking in that new car smell? Drive it to the office to show off to your coworkers? Make a flailing attempt to sock it to the man by crashing your brand new car into a grocery store? We all hate those self-scanning checkout machines, but that’s no reason to go crashing your car into the supermarket!
As Metro reports, “A woman in Kentucky purchased a new car just so she could drive it into a supermarket she didn’t like later that day.” Imagine how that dealership conversation went: “How well does this vehicle handle crashing into supermarkets at high speeds? Is the windshield both shatter resistant and produce resistant?”
Not only did June Ann Blocker, 52, crash her car into a Kroger, according to police, but this is the second time she’s done it. The other grocery store guffaw was at a different Kroger in the same Kentucky town, 15 years ago. Dang, she must really have a vendetta against these folks. Maybe she bought almost-expired milk from the grocery chain one too many times?
Apparently, Blocker was a one-time employee of Kroger, but with behavior like this, no wonder she doesn’t work there anymore. We’re not sure exactly what her circumstances were for leaving the job, but you can be sure “crashing your car into Kroger” is legitimate cause for dismissal.
Blocker was charged with DUI and criminal mischief, among other offenses. I bet she’s wishing she’d saved all that cash she spent on the new car — she’s probably gonna need it for bail.
