Ugandan Dancer, Valentino Kabenge selected as judge for London Dance Open Competitions

Celebrated Latin & Ballroom dancer Valentino R Kabenge has landed a slot on the world-class panel of judges for the inaugural London Open 2022 competitions.

Celebrated Latin & Ballroom dancer Valentino R Kabenge is over the moon after landing a slot on the world-class panel of judges for the inaugural London Open 2022 competitions. This was part of the London Dance Nights event which took place over the weekend.

Valentino was introduced as a special guest judge and adjudicator representing the Uganda DanceSport Federation. The Dance with Valentino host took to his Instagram to thank his mentor, Marious Iepure for his dedicated support towards the growth and professionalisation of Latin and Ballroom dance in Uganda.

“Dreams do really come true but I didn’t see this coming so soon. However, am sure God prepared me for this exact moment,” Valentino noted. “It was such an honor to have been chosen to represent my country Uganda and the Uganda Dance Sport as a judge at the Inaugural Open Competition of London Dance Nights. To be on the same panel with other brilliant and world class dancers was so inspiring.”

The competitions were followed by workshops from Strictly Come Dancing former pros, Oti Mabuse, Kristina Rihanoff and Marius Lepure. The event also featured a red carpet gala ball in the evening, hosted by Janette Manrara, bringing together many talented dancers from all parts of Europe and beyond. These showcased their spectacular talent and storytelling in their performances.
