Remember when we all thought Ugandan sensational singer Eddy Kenzo was not ready to apologize for having hit a reveler with a microphone especially after his himself confirming via a phone call interview? That was quite brave of him, right?
It also seemed like the backup from most of his fellow musicians and fans did the trick, but appearing in an interview, Eddy Kenzo has finally swallowed pride and apologized for the wild act.
According to the 2015 BET Award winner, its not always his personality to engage with people like the way he did to the yet undisclosed fan. However, such a fierce reaction roots from the fact that he grew up on-alert for his life.
“I have grown fighting to defend myself. I may at times react poorly but you have to understand where I come from. Sometimes dangerous act returns but its isn’t a good act and I ask for forgiveness. But personally I never provoke people,” Eddy Kenzo said.
Kenzo asserts that his terrible street and Ghetto life experience where he was often humiliated, has modeled him to be what he is now, “Self-defensive”.
“The street life will never fade away from me because hustled so much. Yeah, that’s me, that’s where I come from. I grew up from a terrible life where by after toiling for a penny and try to buy some food, then someone snatches it away from you. After suffering with only one shirt on your body for almost a year, you try to painfully save some money and buy another, someone forcibly take it away from you,” he added.
Last weekend, the furious “Nsibudde” singer hit a fan with a microphone while performing on stage in Bwera Kasese district.
This was after the fan spilled strange drinks on him.
Meanwhile, the Big Talent CEO has finalized with the first phase of his “The Road To Eddy Kenzo Festival”.
We will keep you posted.
