Sensational Ugandan music producer Emmanuel Ssempijja alias Kuseim Knots (Fresh) has revealed his main brains behind the popular Afrobeat sound currently in Uganda.

  • Kuseim

Appearing on a local TV interview, the Africa Bureau of Music CEO said that one of his first projects was Eddy Kenzo’s “Mbilo Mbilo”, a song he believes outragedly sparked the Afrobeat genre in Uganda.

“One of the first songs I produced was Eddy Kenzo’s ‘Mbilo Mbilo’. It’s the song that has inspired most Afrobeat sound in Uganda, that music with a slow tempo of 94 and 100,” Kuseim said while on NBS TV.

The bald-headed music architect is popularly known to be behind most of BET award winner, Eddy Kenzo’s ballads that elevated him to the international market.

Some of the songs include; Soraye, Mbilo Mbilo, Dagala, Disco Disco, So good, Viva Africa with Digi Bawa, Freestyle with Okay Fanky, Addicted Ft. Alaine, and many more.

Currently, he has had his magical touches on fast-raising Ugandan singer Azawi’s music like; Quinamino, Slow dancing, and Repeat it.

He was also behind songstress Pia Pounds’s famous “Tupaate” song.
