Anne Kansiime has landed a deal with Chipper Cash, a financial platform that enables instant cross-border mobile money transfers in Africa.
The comedienne becomes the latest celebrity to endorse the financial brand, following in the footsteps of singer Spice Diana and TV star Faridah Nakazibwe.
Kansiime was unveiled during a brief press conference held at Innovation Village in Ntinda, Kampala on Tuesday.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Dan Tumuramye, the Chipper Cash Country Manager said, “Anne Kansiime has a vibrant personality. She is also one of the few entertainers we have in Uganda that speaks to audiences beyond our borders, and therefore aligns well with our expansion policy which centers on building strength across Africa.”
On her part, Anne Kansiime noted that, “The era we are in is one to be mindful of people around us and share the little we have with those in need. What better way than with Chipper Cash app which allows you to send and receive money seamlessly from friends and relatives anywhere.”
Anne Kansiime has been signed on for a 3-month campaign during which she will promote the Chipper Cash brand online and encourage adoption of the app among her fans.
With over one million fans on social media and raking in thousands of views on YouTube monthly, she could not have been a better choice to push the Chipper Brand online.
