Movit Products Limited (MPL) has, through its Baby Junior brand, launched a Corporate Social Investment (CSI/R) drive aimed at reaching out to Children’s Homes across the country.

The drive is in line with the Company’s annual Corporate Social Investment and response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, the brand has extended assorted items to 10 homes across the country including; Food stuffs, Assortment of Baby Junior products (Soaps, Jelly, Powder, Baby Junior Diapers) and sanitizers for keeping hygiene at the homes, among others.

“Giving back to communities where we operate is a key pillar in our CSI/R, and collaborating with different stakeholder like the Children Homes is a great platform for us to partake in while we implement some of the pillars that are valuable to the business.” Said Robert Kitenda, Head Marketing at Movit Products.

Baby Junior’s brand support will reach over 1,200 children living in Babies and Children’s homes including; SOS children’s village in Entebbe and Wakiso, Home of Hope and Sun Rise Baby’s Home– Jinja, Open heart orphanage ministry – Mityana, Wakisa ministries – Wakiso, Heart of the Child Mukono, One for Another Charity – Mpigi, Kamengo, and Purpose Uganda Babies Home – Katabi among others.

“Many Homes across the Country have been challenged as a result of the pandemic, hence extending support in whichever form, both tangible and non-tangible, will greatly support their smooth daily operation. And as MPL, we are pleased to conduct this CSR drive of reaching out to the various homes,” Kitenda remarked.

Speaking at the handover ceremony while receiving the donation, Mawa Christine, the Administrator at Agape House Babies Home, said that Movit through this donation has saved them a great deal especially in providing the much-needed support to the children.

She added that, “We were running out of supplies especially because most of our well-wishers and sponsors are individuals who in one way or another were affected by the pandemic since 2020 and we only have enough to take as through one-day at a time.”

“It is support like this that encourages us to continue sacrificing and doing the best we can for these children,” Mawa added.

Movit through its Skin Guard and Baby Junior products has extended support to vulnerable persons through KCCA, Markets among others with sanitary items, sanitizers and other items to a tune of Ugx 170 Million, reaching over 10,000 people as a way to help them in the fight against COVID-19.
