Western Uganda singer, Medotex has said that artistes in the region are broke and therefore they can not afford to invest in their music.

He also added that most of the artistes can not raise money to put into their music and they do not have managers.

“Honestly speaking to succeed in music, you have to invest so much but unfortunately it is not easy for western Uganda’s artistes because most of them do not have money to invest. That is why the music videos and content are not very good. There are no regular shows and concerts for us to perform and get money,” he said.

He further explained that it is not easy to survive in the west since most people do not give music attention like it is in the central region.
