Social media has been busy today after a controversial meeting between staunch National Resistance Movement (NRM’s) supporter, promoter Balaam Barugahara and People Power’s Abby Musinguzi aka Abtex.
The two events promoters are said to have linked up on Wednesday evening in a place around Kampala and they seemed to be bonding like never before.
Their meeting is such questionable to the public especially after each of them subscribing to rival political parties (NRM and People Power).
Abtex and Balaam’s worrying closeness is reported to have been a final preparation for the upcoming Promoters’ Association of Uganda meeting with President Museveni.
“Obululu Tebutwawula meeting with the President Promoters Association of Uganda Mzee Musinguzi Abbey /Abtex promotions for an evening chat,” wrote promoter Balaam on his social media.
Insight of the promoters’ highly anticipated forum with the President, are their endless challenges hitting their events business and how the government would intervene for their smooth operations.
It’s also said that the promoters can’t wait to cry out to the President on how they have been severely affected by COVID-19 pandemic and what the future prospects of their business left in uncertainty.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday, 26th June 2020 in Makindye, Kampala.
Balaam has been the main arbitrator between the events promoters regardless of their political parties choices and the NRM chairperson, H.E YK Museveni.
