Blessings keep following musician Ykee Benda despite the worldwide pandemic that has put the whole word on standstill. He is set to perform at the COVID 19- “Hope For Africa Concert” alongside stars like Davido, Tiwa Savage, Mr.Flavour, among others.
The concert is organized by MultiChoice Africa partnering with One Africa Global Foundation in order to bring hope to people and keep them entertained. It is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 31st of May, 2020, and will air on Africa Magic Family on DStv and GOtv.
Ykee is one of Uganda’s top musicians with a long list of songs most of which have made their way to the top of the chart. The “Muna Kampala” hit singer released a brand new song titled “Mr. Incredible” on the 17th of May, 2020 that has since captured the attention of Ugandans. The video has a total of 9.1 million views on YouTube after being up for only a week.
His talent stands out- this is because he is no ordinary musician, he holds a degree in Chemical Engineering. He has also had a number of hit songs like “Turn up D’vibe featuring A Pass, Bomboclat featuring Uganda’s finest hip-hop artists including the Legend GNL Zamba.
Proceeds from the concert will be used to support the less privileged especially during these times of COVID 19.
