BetOn, a popular betting company is fast adapting to new technological ways of doing business.

We have learnt that the company
has dropped its mortar-and-brick way of doing business to focus entirely on online betting.

According to sources, BetOn has shifted to a new slot machine operator contrary to reports that have been doing the rounds that the company is going out of business in Uganda.

“We want to focus on online because times have changed. People now live on their phones and computers. People live on the internet. We are going where the people are,” says Reuben Robert, Director of Operations.

Adding that, “We figured that our customers found it easy to bet online because of the convenience. With online, they can bet anywhere, any time and without having to queue. To that end, we are throwing all our weight behind something our customers want.”

BetOn’s head of retail and product, Herbert Lule, pointed out that today’s retail betting companies primarily survive only on slot-machines, in which BetOn has no interest.

“Besides, the majority of our in-store customers already use smartphones thanks to the proliferation of internet services such as ride-sharing taxis, food delivery and more. BetOn was the first and only sports betting company to provide free in-shop WiFi to their customers,” he says. “We’re going to carry forward the same exceptional customer service and unbeatable odds.”

The company’s website which exists under the domain name, beton.co.ug is one of the most popular among punters in Uganda and abroad.

The site offers the widest range of sporting activities to bet on. Other betting options are also available ranging from baccarat, casino games, virtual games, live dealer games, live/in-play betting, lottery, racebook, and roulette using partnerships with the world-leaders such as Golden Racing, BetGames TV, Evolution Gaming, Ezugi and more.

It covers all of the major sporting events across Europe and the world, and also prides itself in having among the highest odds in the market today.

BetOn

The company has been a long-term sponsor of grassroots sporting events such as soccer, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, bodybuilding, 5-a-side soccer and more. BetOn has also consistently supported numerous charities under their expansive corporate social responsibility program.

“We are going to continue supporting the sporting activities we have been supporting. Our changes in the way we’ll operate won’t affect our partnerships and our commitment to philanthropic causes,” Reuben says.
