When you’re looking for work, things can get pretty desperate. Sometimes you feel like you’re willing to try anything to land a job. But there are definitely certain things you shouldn’t do… like brandish a firearm.
According to WAVY.com, 31-year-old Tevin Kievelle Monroe walked into a Norfolk, Virginia, McDonald’s and asked for an application. After the manager informed him twice that applications were submitted online, Monroe allegedly showed her a gun he had hidden in his waistband.
Using a gun to threaten a potential employer is bad enough, but having to be told that applications are submitted online twice is just unacceptable! It shows a total lack of attention to detail!
According to the manager, instead of running for cover, she calmly asked Monroe to have a seat while she dug up a paper application. While he filled it out, the manager called 911. Oh come on. Don’t tease the guy! He thought he had a shot at the gig!
Soon afterwards, Monroe was arrested without incident, which is good because during the interview process you don’t want to come off as crazy or anything.
Monroe was charged with brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. On the bright side, they’re always looking for cooks in prison!
