Roast and Rhyme returned for yet another edition on Sunday at their home at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo. Dubbed “Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam”, revelers who turned up in droves were treated to a fun-filled day as they feasted on nyama choma and enjoyed the cool breeze afforded by the lake with live band music in the background. The fun day was capped with performances from music duo, Kent and Flosso aka Voltage Music and legendary Ugandan singer Ragga Dee.

Kent and Flosso stepped on stage shortly after 7pm as darkness started to also creep in. The duo was welcomed with cheers from the excited crowd. Backed by Janzi band, they went on to thrill revelers with songs like Byafayo, Overdose, Cheza Mama and Pull Up among others in a live performance. Their showcase lasted for close to an hour, before paving way for Ragga Dee.

The former Kampala mayoral contestant took to the stage amidst ululations from the crowd. Donning a blue jacket, black trousers and green shoes, Ragga Dee took revelers down memory lane as he churned out his past hit songs.

Throwing his dreadlocks around as he performed, he had the crowd dancing to his songs including Ndigida, Abantu, Letter O, Empeta and Stranger among others.

Even when he left the stage, the party carried on as DJ Aludah took over the turntables. The party went on till late.

The event which is now in its 9th edition is organized by Bell Jamz and Swangz Avenue.
