The Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula Nadiope IV launched Water Harvesting Systems in Busoga at an event that took place at Nakanyonyi Primary School. The water harvest systems will be installed in 110 schools in Busoga. Ten schools will be selected from each Chiefdom to benefit from the program.

Funds used to construction the Water Harvest Systems are part of those that were fundraised before the Kyabazinga Royal Dinner event, with an objective to improve access to clean and safe water for children in primary schools and vulnerable communities in Busoga. Present at the launch were the Katuukiro (Prime Minister) of Busoga Dr. Joseph Muvawala, Royal Chiefs, Ministers from Obwakyabazinga Bwa Busoga and Nakanyonyi Primary School Pupils.

Muvawala thanked various sponsors particularly DFCU that donated sh20m to Busoga Kingdom for provision of clean and safe drinking water in Nakayonyi.
