Uganda Waragi Brand Manager, Tumusiime Agaba gives his remarks during the event launch

By Our Reporter

Uganda Waragi has announced the second edition of the UG Mix Maestro campaign. This campaign which runs from September to November, will feature regional deejay performances, bar activations and in-store special promotional offers.

The campaign which was launched last year seeks to recognize and celebrate the unique talent that deejays have to offer. The announcement was made at a launch party held at Gabz Lounge in Bugolobi.

“The contribution of DJ’s to our music and entertainment industry is often taken for granted. They are an essential element of urban nightlife. The DJ is central to any music experience and we appreciate that as Uganda Waragi. This year, we have put together a star-studded line-up of deejays who will traverse the country with us to deliver unique and exciting music experiences,” said Agaba Tumusiime, Brand Manager-Uganda Waragi.

The UG Mix Maestro will be going to six towns in Uganda namely; Gulu, Arua, Mbale, Masaka, Mbarara and finally Kampala. The DJ’s lined up to perform include Shan, Xzyl, Stuart, Roja, Aludah, Nimrod, MaryJo, Lola, Switch, Bexxx, Ciza and Cisse.

Last year’s campaign concluded with an awards ceremony from which DJ Shan and DJ Xzyl were awarded as Best Male and Best Female DJ respectively. The winners will now join other renowned DJs to participate in this year’s regional performances.

“This year’s activities will not only be more engaging and fun for our customers, but will also allow the DJ’s to expand their fan base and showcase their talent around the country. Each will be an explosive experience with performances from the finest DJ’s, Uganda Waragi cocktails, music, entertainment and so much more. The next three months are going to be packed with excitement,” Agaba added.

Agaba reiterated the brand’s commitment to nurturing local DJ talent and continuing to provide platforms to celebrate and recognize DJ’s. He also cited events like Aludah’s Kings of the Turn Tables and DJ Roja and Stuart’s Mix tape party as activities which the brand will continue to support.
