The Bell Fiesta Grand Finale that took place on Sunday 1stDecember, 2013 attracted thousands of revelers including a number of Kampala’s renowned celebrities. The crowd thronged Spennah Beach to battle it out in the ultimate thriller “The Human Foosball Table” that got everyone across the country excited in the period of the Bell Fiesta Campaign.

The Battle was between the Celebrities, Media and the public .The four celebrity teams that took part were Team Judith Heard, Team Irene Ntale, Team Mun G and Team Vampino against Team Media, Team Sharon, Team Heritage and Team Exodus. All the celebrity teams were beaten hands down by Team Media and Team Heritage that made it to the Final.

“The #SamsungTwitterParty is back! Get ready to party the night away come 19th December at Zone 7 with fellow tweeps. Entrance is 15,000shs. Call 0775439894 for details. Great music and drinks.”

Team media walked away with a cash prize of 800,000 Ugx and Team Heritage the first runners up was awarded 500,000 Ugx. The media’s resurgence as the overall champions for the Human Foosball Table in the Bell Fiesta 2013 comes after Team WBS landed top of the table at the opening challenge which was held at Kyadondo Rugby Club in June 2013 and now a media win in the Grand Finale.

Speaking at the event UBL Marketing Director Mrs. Grace Nshemeire Gwaku said, “We are humbled and yet again so grateful for the support and passion received by the Bell Fiesta campaign that has been ongoing for six months now, thrilling Ugandans the country over. We promise to continue delivering more exciting and challenging fun activities like these that immerse participants into the Bell Nation’s electrifying music and entertainment culture.”

The day catered to all tastes and preferences with a sophisticated cocktail bar, lots of ice cold Bell Lager and barbeque grill out. With perfect beach weather on Sunday the Bell Fiesta filled Spennah with a non-stop beach party vibe. Lakeside party people spent the day frolicking in the warm water and playing beach football. Beach wear was the dress code, as fashionistas dotted Spennah beach and showed off their fabulous attires. Whether it was lying out in the sand or enjoying a chilled Bell Lager while relaxing with friends, men and women came out to the Bell Fiesta ready to play and dressed to impress.

From soccer activities like Timed Dribbling, Inflatable Goal Penalty Shootouts and Foosball, the beach party went on into the night as teams put up a great competition against each other in an evening that can only be described as entertaining and fun packed. There is no doubting that the biggest phenomenon to hit Uganda this year has been the Bell Fiesta. Ugandans couldn’t get enough of the human foosball table and the grand finale at the beach made sure that partying while the sun was still up and is the only way to spend those long, hot days.

The battle between Team Media and Team Heritage was so intense that the umpire blew the final whistle with the teams drawn at 0:0 forcing a penalty shootout. The Penalties were nail-biting as Team Media scored 1 goal out of 5 attempts against Team Heritage that did not score anything. Team Media therefore emerged the winners of the night with a score of 1:0 and the overall Champions of the Human Foosball Table in the Bell Fiesta.

UBL Brand Manager Robert Nsibirwa (2nd right)hands over 800,000 to Team media the winners of the Bell Fiesta Grand Finale.

As the sun set the excitement went up a level with the switch from day to night turning all attention to the stage as beach goers started getting their groove on watching some of Uganda’s superstars on the Bell Fiesta stage.

Bell Fiesta was held in various locations in Kampala and selected towns around the country with spectators and participants showing up in droves to put their teamwork to the test in evenings of soccer-filled fun and music.
