Musician turned MP, Bobi Wine has been suspended from Parliament.
This comes after the plenary session on Wednesday afternoon erupted into chaos when Bobi Wine alongside other opposition MPs staged a spirited fight against the tabling of the controversial Age Limit bill.
However, they were soon overpowered and thrown out of Parliament by security personnel who were sanctioned by the Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga to take control of the situation and restore calm in the August House.
Following the fracas, Bobi Wine was arrested and detained at Nagalama police station.
Bobi Wine has since been suspended along with 24 other legislators for apparently orchestrating the chaos in Parliament. They will miss three parliamentary sittings.
