Singer Jose Chameleone has revealed why he did not join fellow musician Bobi Wine on his campaign trail in the recently concluded Kyadondo East by-election.
The “Wale Wale” star explained that he was very busy with preparations for his “Legend: Hit after Hit” concert and therefore could not find time to join him at his different rallies.
He made the remarks on Friday evening while performing at his massively attended concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval after Bobi Wine made a grand entrance at the show.
“I did not turn for your rallies because I working on this,” Chameleone said mid his performance. “That parliamentary position was your baby, and this was my baby.”
He went on to congratulate him saying, “Congratulations on the remarkable victory! Leaders are chosen by God. So, may He guide you as you deliver Kyadondo East to the promised land.”
Bobi Wine had a landslide victory in the Kyadondo East by-election. He was declared winner on Thursday after garnering 25, 659 votes with the closest rival managing a paltry 4, 566 votes.
