Tanzanian Central Police boss Paul Makonda has come out guns blazing to fight drug use and abuse in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has released the names of the suspects who are now being hunted as others are already in custody. Among the big names in the Tanzanian entertainment industry are Wema sepetu, TID, Babu wa Kitaa among others who have been liaising in the trade including policemen.
The above mentioned have been summoned to the central police in Dar es Salaam for further investigations and tests this Monday Morning starting 8am. During the press conference held at his Office in Dar, he asked that whoever is not in town to make their way back for the summons without fail as their duty as citizens.
The suspected drug users and barons are to be detained as the investigations take place so that they do not interfere with the investigation process. Mr. Makonda insisted that it is not a fight with the entertainment industry but the drug use and abuse in general.
