Emeli Sande in Uganda

By Our Reporter

Famous singer and songwriter, Emeli Sande was recently in Uganda.

The “Beneath Your Beautiful” star, who jetted in quietly a few days ago, was in the country for charity.

We have learnt Sande was in Uganda ahead of Red Nose Day, a biennial fundraising campaign which will be celebrated on Friday, 24th March 2017, to see how street children are being helped to get an education and how vaccination is making a difference in our local communities.

Red Nose Day, a campaign run by UK based non-profit organisation, Comic Relief, is aimed at raising money and awareness against poverty through different fun activities held around the world.

Meanwhile, other celebrities including  Reggie Yates, Michaela Coel, Russell Kane, Hugh Dennis, David Baddiel and Katy Brand will also be coming to Uganda. The stars will visit Uganda to deliver crucial supplies to Comic Relief funded projects in the country.
