Dancehall singer Cindy Sanyu snubbed the “Sands & Colours” fashion show that was slated for Sunday at Lido Beach.
The “Ndi Mukodo” hitmaker who was supposed to be the headlining act at the event claims she was a no-show “due to unavoidable circumstances”.
She has since come out to apologise to the organisers and fans who had turned up for the show to watch her perform.
“I would like to apologise to the management Essence models and fans who came to watch Cindy Sanyu at the Sands and colours fashion show at Lido beach. Due to unavoidable circumstances we couldn’t make it to the event on time. All inconveniences are deeply regretted.” She posted online.
Despite Cindy’s aborted performance, the fashion show was still a success. “Although Cindy didn’t make it, the band and models sure killed it,” the organisers said.
