URA FC seeded in group A of the 2017 Mapinduzi Cup

Uganda’s representatives at the annual Mapinduzi Cup, Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club has been seeded in Group A of the upcoming  football tournament.

The Kefa Kisala-coached side are grouped along with Simba SC from Tanzania, KVZ, Taifa ya Jang’ombe and Jang’ombe Boys of Zanzibar.

On the other hand, Group B has Young Africans and Azam FC; both from Tanzania along Zimamoto plus Jamhuri of Zanzibar.

According to the tournament fixtures, the Tax Collectors will kick-off their title defence on new year’s day when they play against Zanzibar’s KVZ FC at the Amaani Stadium. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals of the competition.

URA FC are set to depart for Zanzibar on 28th December, 2016 ahead of the annual peace competition.

URA Group Matches:

01st January, 2017: KVZ FC VS URA FC
03rd January, 2017: Jang’ombe Boys VS URA FC
05th January, 2017: URA FC VS Simba SC
08th January, 2017: URA FC VS Taifa ya Jang’ombe
