Revealed Traffic Estimate has just released its ranking for the most popular websites in 2016 for each country. In 2015, Traffic Estimate grew to become a more reliable source for website traffic, surpassing big competitors such as Alexa and Similar Web. Every year, Traffic Estimate releases a list of the top 100 websites for every country and sends it out to its subscribers. Here’s how Uganda fared;

1. www.monitor.co.ug The Daily Monitor News Website continues to be number one in Uganda, a position it has constantly kept for more than two years. With a growing demand for authentic and truthful news, it’s no surprise that Monitor is here.

2. www.newvision.co.ug It has gone through the most re-brands as a website and it seems to be working. The New Vision website is the 2nd most visited in Uganda being surpassed only by Monitor at a difference of 50,000 visitors per month.

3. www.bigeye.ug Thank goodness we are not the ones who produced this website report. Otherwise, www.bigeye.ug continues to top as Uganda’s most popular social and entertainment media platform. It has been described by some as the “TMZ of Uganda.”

4. www.ura.go.ug Ever since Uganda revenue authority introduced a number of online tax services, there’s been a surge in its web-traffic.

Other Websites: 5. www.howwe.biz (Entertainment Website) 6. www.redpepper.co.ug (Tabloid) 7. www.brightermonday.co.ug (Job Site) 8. www.theugandajobline.com (Job Site) 9. www.campuseye.ug (Campus Media) 10. www.olx.co.ug (shopping and ads) 11. www.chimpreports.com (news site) 12. www.kilimall.co.ug (online shopping) 13. www.bukedde.co.ug (news site) 14. www.betpawa.ug 15. www.elitebet.co.ug 16. www.ugblizz.com
