Bridget Katungi was crowned the new Miss Uganda UK 2016 on Saturday evening at a ceremony held at Ark Globe Academy in London.
She saw off competition from 8 other finalists to win the coveted crown. Latisha Antoine emerged first runner-up with Vanessa Kaitesi becoming the second runner-up.
Bridget Katungi will now become ambassador for the Child Sacrifice campaign Uganda, and will carry on the work of raising more awareness to stop child sacrifice.
The Miss Uganda UK pageant, now in its 6th edition, was held under the theme “Promoting Beauty, Descent & Culture”. The pageant is a platform intended to raise the profile of talented Uganda women and attract tourism and investment into Uganda and the UK through the entertainment industry by encouraging personal development and social enterprise.
