The Break-Fast Jam finals are on this weekend.
Break-Fast Jam, now in its 6th edition, is an annual breakdance event that brings together participants from East African countries and the rest of the world. This year’s edition will be graced by exceptional dancers from Poland, China, Ireland, Kenya and Tanzania among others.
The event seeks to empower participants socially and economically. The finals host participants from around the world to empower them with practical skills, knowledge, inspirations and experiences on a neutral platform with the overall aim of cultivating a positively enriching breakdance and hip hop culture in Africa.
Break-Fast Jam’s activities include workshops, competitions, performances, exhibitions and educational discussions.
It will climax this weekend (Saturday, 19th and Sunday, 20th November) at YMCA in Wandegeya, Kampala following elimination rounds that took place in the different regions in Uganda and in Kenya.
Entrance is 5,000UGX and free for kids 10 years and below.
