The Staff team of Huawei Uganda gathered for a team building event dubbed ‘Gather for Love’ to fundraise for disadvantaged girls at Rahab Foundation in Wakiso district.

The event that took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo on 16th October 2016 involved all employees willingly participating in the different games like tug-of-war, sack races and a soccer challenge among others to fundraise for the charity cause.

“The more participation from employees meant more points to generate funds for charity. We shall this Saturday 29 th October together with our staff present the event proceeds of approximately 10,000USD to Rahab Foundation”, says Tongyunpeng, Huawei Public Relations director.

“Giving back to communities where we operate is our corporate social responsibility obligation, it is the reason we have donated to rehabilitate more girls and women for a better life,” he adds.

Rahab Foundation was started in 2005 with a main goal of preventing sex exploitation of children in Kampala District.
