In the latest cabinet reshuffles, President Museveni appointed Dr. Philemon Mateke, a 92-year-old to the post of Minister. Mateke is the new State Minister in charge of Regional Affairs.
His youngest child is aged 50-years-old and is also actively involved in Politics.
Born in Bufumbira a former county of Kigezi, Philemon Mateke is a soft speaker but yet a force that influences events back door.
Towards the 2011 general elections he retired from active politics having served as Minister, MP and Chairman LC 5 Kisoro.
